چکیده
Temporomandibulardisordercharacterizes a varied group of pathologies affecting temporomandibularjoints, masticatory muscles, or both. The treatment temporomandibular disorders is major challenge because its causes and structures involved also the functioning one joint always dependent on other. Transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation non-pharmacological method pain control recently it gaining importance in temporomandibulardisorders. Hence this study was undertaken to analyze effect transcutaneous due compare efficacy over other treatments available for same.Electronic search articles published various journals were through engines from 2020-2022. 9 randomized trials therapy performed disorder patients selected analysis. The compared with conventional [muscle relaxant+ analgesic], low level laser therapy,Microcurrent Nerve Stimulation therapy, Physiotherapy, Placebo therapy. Results conclude that superior all modalities included disorders. Maximum reduction obtained combination muscle relaxant, hot fermentation, soft diet.Transcutaneous along medication proved be highly effective treating

متن کاملComparative Evaluation between the Effects of Low-Intensity Laser Therapy and Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation on Temporomandibular Joint Disorders
Background: Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are characterized by the presence of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and/or masticatory muscle pain and dysfunction. Trans-cutaneous electric nerve stimulation (TENS) and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) have been recognized as therapeutic modalities for the treatment of TMD, especially when the presence of infl ammatory pain is suspected. This study ai...

UNLABELLED We reviewed trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS) and transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS). All techniques have shown preliminary promising results, although the results are mixed. METHOD We performed a systematic review of the Medline and Embase databases, with no constraint to dates, through June 2013. The keywords were [(1) trigeminal nerve stimulation OR (2) cranial nerve...

BACKGROUND Cancer-related pain is complex and multi-dimensional but the mainstay of cancer pain management has predominately used a biomedical approach. There is a need for non-pharmacological and innovative approaches. Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS) may have a role for a significant number of patients but the effectiveness of TENS is currently unknown. OBJECTIVES The aim of...
